The ensemble focuses on the repertoires of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and is distinguished by its in-depth knowledge of the art of diminution, historical instrumentation, and a desire to expand the idiomatic limits of its instruments. This last aspect is illustrated in this very virtuosic programme, put together in 2020 and entitled “Stadtpfeifer, Piffari, musique à cinq souffleurs”.
