With Run-DMC's Raising Hell, the band tore down the walls of the mainstream for hip hop and anchored it there forever. The crossover hit Walk This Way, recorded with the rockers from Aerosmith, still sounds like a revolution today. It has everything: hard rock riffs, scratches, gripping rhythms and, of course, the raps and energy of Run, Jam Master Jay and DMC. The New Yorkers' third album was the first in the genre to go platinum - three times over. It was the right stories in the right style and rhythm at the right time. The remastering for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab was carried out by Rob LoVerde and Shawn R. Britton. Compared to previous editions, it reveals a much stormier dynamic that emphasizes Rick Rubin's crisp production in great detail. The hybrid SACD in a mini-LP cover is released in a limited edition of 2,000 copies with consecutive serial numbers.

Previously prepared but unreleased 1975 quadraphonic mix. Atlantic Crossing is the sixth solo album by Rod Stewart. Released on 15 August 1975, and recorded in five American studios including Muscle Shoals, Alabama, between April and June 1975, it was produced by Tom Dowd, and peaked at number one in the UK (his fourth solo album to do so), and number nine on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. The album was divided into a fast side and a slow side, apparently at the suggestion of Stewart's then-girlfriend, Swedish actress Britt Ekland.

Plenty of magic here – a record with a different sound than some of Sarah Vaughan's earlier work – but one that's still pretty great! The backings here bring in plenty of strings, and a bit of voices – going for a full feel that's a bit like some of the country soul albums of the period – although Sarah herself is far from country, and nicely poised throughout. A number of the tunes are standards, but they have a different sort of feel in this setting – and Vaughan's vocals float nicely over the top, tying the whole thing together on tunes that include "That Old Black Magic", "Carefree", "Separate Ways", "Mary Contrary", "I've Got The World On A String", "Love Is A Random Thing", and "Sweet Affection".

For the third time I felt inspired to dig through my archives for musical ideas and tracks which i had started working on many years ago yet never completed for various reasons. After going through my old hard drives I picked out 10 pieces to work on and finalize, some from as far back as 2006, which together now form this new album, Origin # 03. The date of creation holds some significance for me, a reflection of the feelings alive then, recorded in sound. All Track titles in this series link you back to their original date of inception, their “Origin”, a journey through time.

Back in 2010, I released the first album in what would become the Origin series, an unfolding journey rooted in unfinished ideas and half-sketched compositions from across my musical life. Some of these pieces began as simple melodies scribbled down decades ago; others were more developed but left incomplete. From the very beginning, I envisioned this as a four-part series. Now, that story finds its resolution with Origin #04.
