Jay & The Americans - Wax Museum, Vol 2 (1970) promo LP 16-44 & 24-96

The lead-off track, "This Magic Moment," became a million-seller and the group's first Top Ten hit in over three years, which gave them sufficient encouragement to stick with their new oldies rock & roll format for a while. "When You Dance" and "Hushabye" became minor hits, and the closing track, "Goodnight My Love," begins with an Alan Freed aircheck, capping an entertaining and paradoxically forward-looking bit of nostalgia.

This is a promo album that I picked up for a dollar or two. It is not in good condition but I thought I'd give it a shot. What we have here is hours spent by me in an attempt to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear using cheap equipment. Quite a few ticks removed manually. Across the front top right corner it has "Not for sale Promotion use only" pressed into the cover but not inked onto the cover. It is very visible to me but does not show well in the scans. It is also obvious that it came from radio station KCPR since they wrote their call letters on the cover multiple times with a marker. This album is a 1970 identical reissue of the previously issued album, "Sands Of Time", with only the title of the album having been changed.
