Tony Bennett's musical director recorded this in Dallas as bit of a change-up from Ray Charles' country-soul blends. Here is country-jazz.

Ralph Sharon is perhaps best known as Tony Bennett's piano player and musical director. Oh so many moons ago, he was the man that Tony turned to for a new song for an upcoming concert in San Francisco. History was made that night, my lovlies. Oh, yes! Off and on, Ralph would record an LP, and this one was done after the country-crossover craze made possible by Brother Ray Charles. The results are mixed. Technically, the recording is poor, and to be fair, the LP I had wasn't in the best shape. A couple songs end prematurely. It all sounds like it was recorded from inside a tin can. C'est le vie. And so it goes. It is what it is. It is a rare record, so I offer it here for your enjoyment.

I present the package here in two versions. 1) declicked and folded to mono, like usual, and 2) same as 1) but also run through the DeNoise program from the DeClick guy. Take your pick! Or take both.

The kicker here, is that I have another copy of this LP, still sealed. I just can't talk myself into opening it as it's quite the collectors item. All in all, folks, Ralph's playing shines thru well enough that I wanted to share. It's a rare disk, and they're not making any more of them. And they're not making any more Ralph's either :-(
