Amnesia was Richard Thompson's second album with producer and keyboard player Mitchell Froom, and the two sounded a lot more comfortable with each other than they did on their previous project together, Daring Adventures. This being a Richard Thompson album, the high quality of the songs and the guitar playing is a given. Amnesia is one of Richard Thompson's best-sounding albums, and not a bad place for beginners -all music

Tubert says: Richard Thompson albums are a bitch to rip. This guy never met an "S" he didn't like. Add a hot top end to his mixes and I can't tell you how relieved I am the last song isn't called "Sphinx". Amd no, that's not me turning up the volume at the start of side one. That's the way it sounds.
