Audio critic Masamitsu Fukuda has carefully selected 10 tracks from the Venus Records catalogue and compiled them into a single album.

"Upon further investigation, I discovered that over the past three years, I have recommended and featured more than 10 Venus albums in our magazine's "Excellent Album Audio Grade" column and other publications. I have been selecting "Excellent Recordings" since the heyday of LPs, and my criteria are based on sound quality, resolution, dynamic range, and other factors that result in an appealing sound when played on an audio system. Therefore, I am not looking at performance technique, but rather at the ideal sound.

While the selection process may appear to be a fun and haphazard one on the pages of the magazine, in reality, it involves days of listening sessions. Ultimately, due to limited space available, only the top albums make it to the top. This is a task that places great importance on sound, and it carries great responsibility. Its importance lies in the fact that it is the foundation of audio reproduction, yet accessible to everyone. The selected tracks represent a compilation album that compiles the outstanding recordings I have featured to date."
