Gerardo Jerez The Cam composes in this new repertoire musical phrases in consonance with the personalities of Iacob Maciuca (violin), Mihai Trestian (cymbalum) and Manu County (bandoneon). Together, they explore and reinvent the traditional Romanian, Moldovan and Argentinean music in order to resonate the detachment and the rapprochement, the diversity and the crossing of cultures and people. Between the violin of Iacob Maciuca, the bandonéon of Manu Comté, the cymbalum of MihaiTrestian and the piano of Gerardo Jerez Le Cam, the Quartet transcends the styles to better mix the Romanian, Moldovan and Argentinean traditional and contemporary music. Detachment, rapprochement, diversity, crossing: in this new repertoire, the notes sound like reflections that, filled with hope, re-enchant the world.

Here, elsewhere, in the past, in the present. The notes swing us in a crazy race, from Paris to Buenos Aires, passing by the distant forests where the old legends dance. Then, they come back to crash better against the waves and let fly this liberating breath. Classical music, tango, jazz, gypsy music, African traditional music and contemporary melody: definitely linked to one another, time and space stretch to infinity.
