The Ugandish-Swedish singer presents herself on her fifth solo album more personal and diverse than ever before. Apart from the usual Reggaevibes it is about Afrobeat and current pop up to the tribute to Billie Holiday. What was already apparent on the last album "Yes I Am" is now being clarified to "Fly High": Jaqee has developed into a demanding musician. While still maintaining a sense of good harmonies and catchy songs, she has outgrowed the children's shoes of her poppy "Kokoo Girl" phase. "Fly High" shows depth, a great stylistic range and experiments with new artistic freedoms.
