Jim Jidhed is well known as the original voice of 80's Swedish AOR/pop outfit Alien. Of course he's also had a solo career beyond that. In 1990 Jim released his first solo album called "Jim". Two songs from that album made it in to the charts in Sweden; "Wild Young and Free" and "Silence Is Golden".
'Jim' is as AOR as you can get from this era. there are large doses of keyboards, many of the songs are anthemic with wickedly good and syrupy choruses. Jidhed delivers on the premise right from the start with 'All I Want Is You'. Jim covers the Nazareth chestnut 'Love Hurts', a melodic version for sure without the rusty nail and scotch hardened throat of Dan MacCafferty.
