After a first album of soul Treat Me Right, widely acclaimed by the media and the European scene, John Milk returns with Paris Show Some Love, a modern and committed R & B album. John Milk dares a great musical turn that combines beatmaking, electro and hip hop to make Paris Show Some Love a modern funk album that could seduce the fans of Childish Gambino by performing a sort of synthesis of music ranging from Prince and J Dilla. Resolutely retrofuturistic, John Milk recorded the eleven tracks of the album mixing tape recorders and technology today.
Two years ago, the keyboardist accompanied by his power trio had launched his career in beauty with the release of his debut album Treat Me Right, a sum of philadelphian funk that claimed the oldest roots of soul music. Today, John Milk is more inspired and dancing than ever. Throughout Paris Show Some Love, he finds vocal accents similar to those of Californian Mayer Hawthorne or Jamie Lidell, two prophets of a R & B boosted to the sounds of today, as evidenced by the first pop and Groovy: When I Get Down.
