Reine Hirano and Peter Barcaba - Das Violoncello Der Pianisten (2017)

Pianist training with Doris Leischner and Bruno Seidlhofer (Vienna), L.Stefanski (Warsaw) and Conrad Hanssen (Detmold), composition with Alfred Uhl, conducting with Hans Swarowsky. As a pianist in addition to solo concerts he mainly performs as chamber musician and composer. Long-standing member of the Kammermusikvereinigung Wien, with whom he played concerts all over Europe. He also conducted several chamber orchestras (Ensemble Wienklang, Kammerorchester Krems, Sonyc Orchestra New York).

As a composer, he devotes himself to all genres. He has also written Solowerke for piano (piano fiction, variations on a theme by Ph.E.Bach), a fantasy for viola, many chamber music works (4 pianoforte trio, 3 string quartets, string examp, cellosonate, capriccio for flute and piano, sonata for two pianos) , Several song cycles (Passionsgesänge, Hohelied), religious works for choir, soli and orchestra and solo concerts (concert for marimba and string orchestra, concerto for saxophone and orchestra among others). Many of his works were premiered at the "Neue Künstlforum" in Vienna, many at international festivals as commissioned works (Schleswig Holstein, Aurich, Ottawa, New York, Seoul, …). Peter Barcaba had a piano professor at the Vienna University of Music until 2013 and also promoted many young chamber music ensembles there to accompany her on her way to international concert life.
