This CD features works by Québec composer Serge Arcuri played by some of the most distinguished musicians on the Canadian new music scene. Arcuri has developed each piece on this recording from a sonic, visual, or emotional kernel—a sound, a noise, a landscape, a painting, a feeling, or a loss. Though unpredictable, these sources of inspiration are quite tangible. Once the kernel has been found, what follows is the creative work of rendering a variety of impressions.Tracks
