    Album-release of „Meinberg/Meyer/Oberbeck“ and features New York based saxophonist Chris Cheek. No separated rooms, no headphones, only one microphone per instrument. Pure and honest, no cuts, no adjustments - in this music is everything real. The use of vintage microphones, partly 60 years old, makes the album sound very direct and warm. There is a very organic pressure, which can often be recognized on old masters recordings. „The Hiker“ does not sound like perfect virtuosity, but one can hear the intimacy and devotion of improvising musicians.
