Starting his over a decade ago, Tyga is no stranger to controversy, success, and his life being a public spectacle. With this new release, Tyga shows a much more personal side of himself. After visiting Kyoto, Japan, Tyga was inspired by the Japanese culture and way of life and wanted to dedicate the album to his experience there. On Kyoto, Tyga is able to bring listeners into his world while still painting his pop sensibility. Tyga tweeted: "I been wanting to make this album for a while now but didn't have the confidence and the story to express my true emotions. I thank all the love an support you have given me over the years. Thru my ups and downs, At My highest and my lowest points… Thru my brightest and darkest hours."
