This live recording from Norway in 2016 captures the raw soul of Willie Walker. It is as good as any of his studio recordings. This CD features the talents of Kid Andersen and special guest Rick Estrin. Using the Nightcats as the rhythm section and featuring an outstanding Norwegian horn section, the performance crackles with fire and enthusiasm. Producers Kid Andersen and Jim Pugh both are featured and always add the right flavor to the song without overpowering the vocals. Covers of Sam Cooke, The Beatles and Bobby Rush sit alongside updated versions of his 60’s classics and round out this snapshot of this talented singer in his prime.
