A Copland Celebration Vol 1

On this recording Copland conducts himself on a must have definitive recording. Troughout the music seems enlarged as compared with other conductors for the same pieces but it shines on Appalachian Spring. By the end of disc 2 we find a 17' of rehersal of Appalachian Spring, pretty cool one.

With a festive tint his music seems to represent that "American Spirit" tinted by the new world experience of the newcomers.
