Dino was at his best during his 1948-1961 stint at Capitol, ever laid-back–was there ever a more apt song for him than "Relax-Ay- You?"–yet not into the couldn't care less, gone to (a liquid) lunch style that became a boon to impressionists. Still a stooge to Jerry Lewis at the beginning of his contract with Capitol, he needed the hits in order to break out and shape his own career. They came with such songs as "That's Amore", "Money Burns A Hole In My Pocket" and the creamy "Memories Are Made Of This", which topped the US charts for six weeks and made Dino the toast of hometown Steubenville, Ohio. Even so, there are better tracks on this compilation, sides made in the company of Nelson Riddle, that arranger who helped shape the careers of both Frank Sinatra and Nat "King" Cole. This is a great advertisement for somnambulistic crooning. –Fred Dellar, AllMusic
