From Walt Whitman’s American epic poem, Leaves of Grass, Eve Fleishman heartily embraces the mantra: “I celebrate myself, and sing myself.” She’s not promoting narcissism here; she simply believes in the idea that we could all use a little more self-love. All of the songs on Atmospheric Epic relate to a sense of place, reflecting the last five years as Eve transitioned from Nashville to San Francisco – with forays into her Southern roots and even far-flung influences from Cairo, Egypt. As she sings in her song Peace on Earth: “May I radiate joy from inside, and may you as well. Reaching out to all, big as the sea or small.” Eve Fleishman’s voice is small but mighty. And she’s reaching out to YOU. With a stellar cast of musicians recorded in both Nashville and San Francisco.
