UltraEdit è una soluzione avanzata e professionale per scrivere codice e testo, ideale per chi ha bisogno di un unico programma che possa gestire diversi linguaggi e formati
Mettere nella stessa categoria (quella degli editor di testo) UltraEdit e il Blocco Note incluso in ogni installazione di Windows, è un affronto. I due programmi hanno in comune solo una cosa: si occupano di file di testo.

Questa opzione in combinazione con la possibilità di lavorare su più file contemporaneamente, evita di continuare ad aprire e chiudere file in continuazione.

Entrando un po' più nello specifico, UltraEdit gestisce ogni tipo di codice: HTML, CSS, Java, C++ sono solo alcuni dei linguaggi di programmazione supportati. È possibile configurare il programma perché lavori in coppia con un compilatore e può essere utilizzato anche come editor esadecimale. Inoltre è compatibile ed in grado di convertire diverse codifiche di testo (DOS, MAC, UNIX, ASCII, EBCDIC, OEM, ANSI). Supporta anche il protocollo FTP per l'editing remoto.
