Hitsugaya tells Aizen he will not allow him to use Kyoka Suigetsu, but Aizen is unfazed. Komamura, Rōjūrō, Love and Lisa join Hitsugaya in fighting Aizen, however all four are easily defeated. Soi Fon creates doppelganger illusions of herself to attack Aizen with her Suzumebachi. Aizen reveals that his reiatsu is strong enough to withstand her deadly two-sting attack. Kyoraku performs a sneak attack using his Kageoni on Aizen. Shinji uses Sakanade to confuse Aizen, allowing Hitsugaya to deal the final blow on him. As the shinigami cheer on Aizen's defeat, Ichigo is shocked and yells at what they were doing. It is revealed that everybody was under Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu and Hitsugaya had mistakenly stabbed Hinamori, while Aizen reveals himself to be acting as Hinamori. Enraged, Hitsugaya charges at Aizen but is cut down. Soi Fon, Kyoraku and Shinji attempt to attack Aizen but all are similarly cut down as well.
