A clay animation about the life of a mother. It starts with the conception of the child, we follow her and her kid through childhood until her child is grown up, leaves home and has a child of his own.
Fäst vid dig handlar om ett mammaliv. Vi får följa med från befruktningen, genom graviditet och förlossning, småbarnsår, nattvak, skilsmässa, delad vårdnad, tonårsrevolt och frigörelse. Mamman, som så småningom blir ensamstående är en sån hjälte som alla mammor och pappor är. Hon utför underverk varje dag, hon vaggar och vyssjar, hon tröstar och räddar, hon låter barnets behov gå före sina egna. Allt i en rasande fart och med de möjligheter att gå utanför verkligheten som animationen bjuder in till. Filmen handlar om att våga släppa taget.
Scriptwriter and Director Carin Bräck about the film:
I've got three kids. Living with them is the most important, funnie, surrealistic, challenging and tiresome experience I've ever had. When you have a kid, you are vulnerable. If my kids are unhappy I don't care if I win a million or get my film showed in Cannes, I'm still unhappy. But if the are happy, so am I, it may rain, my car can break down och I can loose my job. This film is about that vulnerabilily. The bond between a parent and a child.
