Us, released in 1992, was a deeply personal and experimental album, reflecting Gabriel's emotional journey through themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. Unlike its predecessor So, which had a more pop-oriented sound, Us was more introspective and experimental, blending art rock with elements of world music and electronic textures.

Kiss Rooted in the campy theatrics of Alice Cooper and the sleazy hard rock of glam rockers the New York Dolls, Kiss became a favorite of American teenagers in the '70s. Most kids were infatuated with the look of Kiss, not their music. Decked out in outrageously flamboyant costumes and makeup, the band fashioned a captivating stage show featuring dry ice, smoke bombs, elaborate lighting, blood spitting, and fire breathing that captured the imaginations of thousands of kids. But Kiss' music shouldn't be dismissed – it is a commercially potent mix of anthemic, fist-pounding hard rock driven by sleek hooks and ballads powered by loud guitars, earworm melodies, and sweeping strings.

To anthologize the often overshadowed solo career of Brother Gregg Allman, Capricorn Records released this luscious, 34-track, 2CD collection in 1997 entitled One More Try: An Anthology. But, instead of packing it with “hits,” someone got the bright idea to stuff it full of demos, band rehearsals and 26 previously unreleased recordings. Which is very cool for fans and collectors. So… is there a buzz killer here, you ask? Of course. Just two years later, Capricorn unceremoniously deleted the collection. Maybe the bean counters were bummed at the lack of radio-worn favorites, or Capricorn thought a by-the-book Best Of would sell better. Perhaps Allman himself just changed his mind about having it out there. Who knows? But what got overlooked is that One More Try: An Anthology might be the single most interesting release in Allman’s solo catalog. The recordings often showcase Gregg alone on acoustic guitar. Some are live band rehearsals. Even the Allman Brothers Band staple, “Wasted Words,” appears here as a loose studio jam featuring Johnny Winter, Buddy Miles and the late Berry Oakley. Polished or not… profitable or not… perhaps this is the best way Gregg Allman deserves to be heard, by himself or just casually jamming with friends.

Guns N' Roses, often abbreviated as GNR, is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1985. With the inspiring title of “Musical Soul’s Delight”, the discovery of this impressive book of 40 Arias by Jacob Kremberg, published in Dresden 1689 by publisher Mathesius, felt much like stumbling on a treasure trove. The book’s title indicates the accompaniments “which are thus arranged so that they can be sung with one voice alone, next to the general bass, or at the same time and especially on the lute, angelique, viola di gamba, and guitar.” The viola da gamba part, written in tablature, has proven to be a unique and invaluable musical example of the cantare alla viola practice in Germany. These rich accompaniments double the voice’s melody over a supportive bass fundament while including the full harmony in between, sometimes with passages of double stops carrying two voices in parallel motion. Solo instrumental versions of the arias are therefore reasonable as a performance possibility since they are able to sing on their own. Considering it has never been recorded in its entirety, we decided a few years ago to commit to the arduous task of recording the complete book of arias choosing the version for the cantar alla viola duo with voice and viola da gamba, as well as the instrumental solo version of the viola da gamba.
