This is the tenth studio album from the Band KISS. Released October 13, 1982 on Casablanca/Polygram Records. It is the band’s last album for Casablanca Records, the only label the group had ever recorded for up to that point. The album was dedicated to the memory of Casablanca founder and early Kiss supporter Neil Bogart, who had died of cancer during the recording sessions. It was also the last album for the band in makeup.

Anyone who thinks of Humble Pie solely in terms of their latter-day boogie rock will be greatly surprised with this, the band's second release, for it is almost entirely acoustic…this is a crisp, cleanly recorded, attractive-sounding album, totally atypical of the Humble Pie catalogue, but well worth a listen.

Music from "The Elder" is the ninth studio album released by KISS. It was an attempt on the part of the group to establish KISS as credible artists, and also to reverse the trend of declining album sales and commercial popularity that had begun in 1979. Instead, the album further served to alienate the group's fan base and represents the lowest point commercially for the group. Album sales were so poor that Kiss did not embark on a supporting tour for the first time in its eight-year history, opting instead to make a handful of promotional appearances.

Unmasked is the eighth studio album by KISS, released in May 20, 1980. At the time, it was the last studio album featuring the original lineup of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, although Criss actually had no involvement with the recording of the album. Anton Fig (uncredited) played all drums on the album. This album marked another departure for KISS, this was the first album since 1976's Rock and Roll Over not to feature all members on vocals.

Dynasty is the seventh studio album by KISS. It was produced by Vini Poncia and released on Casablanca Records on May 23, 1979. The album, and the following tour, were billed as the "Return of KISS" as a band, KISS had not released a studio album since 1977's Love Gun. Instead, KISS released their second live album and each member had recorded eponymous solo albums independently of their bandmates, which were simultaneously released on September 18, 1978.
