The album has a light feeling to it; it's certainly not as heavy or rock-oriented as his earlier solo albums. The Hellacopters were a Swedish rock band that was formed in 1994 and disbanded October 26, 2008. They have released six full length albums of their own material, one cover album, two compilations of non-album work, six EPs, and many other official releases. In October 2007 the band officially announced their break up after an extensive European tour and the release of a double disc live album. The band was, together with The Hives, one of the most important Swedish bands in the garage rock revival and one of the most influential rock bands in Sweden.

Sky released their sixth album Cadmium in December 1983. The album contents were a mixture of Sky traditions and new elements - it contained a classical-rock arrangement of Prokofiev's "Sleigh Ride" (from the "Lieutenant Kijé Suite"), alongside seven original compositions and the first examples of commissioned compositions from contemporary writers from outside the band (in this case, Kevin Peek's old friend and fellow Cliff Richard collaborator Alan Tarney, who provided two original tunes for the band to interpret).
