In this collection, 101 Strings Orchestra performs some melodies from Hawaii with rhythms that make you dance with Hawaiian style. 101 Strings was a brand for a highly successful easy listening symphonic music organization, with a discography exceeding a hundred albums and a creative lifetime of roughly thirty years.

In 1965 the Temptations were gaining serious momentum as one of Motown's most popular acts. Thanks partly to the assistance of Smokey Robinson, who contributed six songs, TEMPTIN' TEMPTATIONS kept that momentum rolling. In many ways, in fact, TEMPTIN' TEMPTATIONS, the group's third album for Motown, is a showcase for Robinson. He wrote and produced some bright, melodically spot-on tunes– the elegantly sad "Since I Lost My Baby," the charming "My Baby," and the infectious "You've Got to Earn It".

A top ranking performance, only found in Japan, with an excellent Cedolins who is in a far better condition than in her Liceu's performance (Arthaus, 2007): beautiful voice, adequate play, sustained by good singers (excellent Adalgisa too), and Campanella is conducting with a great sense of the score. Only one limit: the orchestra which has difficulties to play piano when required (or maybe the recording is too close of the instruments?)

The follow-up to 1973's Unsung Heroes was the first of the group's Blue Thumb efforts to be distributed by ABC Records. The label switch also coincided with the inclusion of lyrical guitarist Larry Carlton as a full-fledged member. A good representation of the Crusaders' tasteful and intelligent playing, Southern Comfort is more than recommended to their fans.

Pierre Vassiliu (born October 23, 1937) is a French singer and songwriter. He was born in Villecresnes, in what would later become Val-de-Marne, to a Romanian doctor and his wife from the Tours area. His passion is equestrianism, in which he competes both in racing and riding, with six victories to his credit. At the Tremblay hippodrome, he met by chance one day two apprentice riders who turned out to be none other than the actor Roger Pierre and the director Jean-Marc Thibault. When they learned that he spent his spare time writing songs, they soon made him leave the paddocks to sing his songs and those of Georges Brassens at l'Ecluse and l'Echelle de Jacob, popular Paris cabarets of the day.

Although it didn't enjoy the major label hype that his current output does, Walker's HighTone encore just may be his finest album of all, filled with soulful vocal performances, bone-cutting guitar work, and tight backing from the Boss Talkers and the Memphis Horns. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of Walker's remarkably consistent HighTone discs – but give this one the slightest of edges over the rest.
