Dreams was one of the original prominent jazz rock bands in the period of the late 1960s and early 1970s, and recorded for Columbia Records. Dreams was formed by Jeff Kent and Doug Lubahn, who together wrote and arranged all their original songs. The band began as a trio and evolved into a horn-based band over time. They were later joined by others such as Brecker Brothers, Will Lee, Don Grolnick, Bob Mann, and Eddie Vernon.

Julian Sas’ new studio album is called Bound To Roll. Like a big freight train the Dutch blues-rocker adds in the album’s title track and that’s a pretty accurate description of his approach to making music. Groundhogs’ second album from 1969, still blues-based but, as the title suggests, moving to a more rock based style. Groundhogs went on to become one of the biggest blues/rock bands in the UK and Europe in the early 1970s with founder guitarist Tony T.S. McPhee everpresent.
