Dieter - Der Film is the soundtrack of the movie with the same name. The soundtrack was released the 3 March 2006, by Hansa Records. The soundtrack contains songs made exclusively by Dieter Bohlen, marking his comeback as singer, as since Here I Am (1997), he didn't released a solo album. Also, it contains the six first hit singles by Modern Talking: You're My Heart, You're My Soul, You Can Win If You Want, Cheri, Cheri Lady, Brother Louie, Atlantis is Calling (S.O.S. for Love) y Geronimo's Cadillac; and a never released before song, Shooting Star. With the same tracklisting and artwork there are releases with two different titles: "Dieter - Der Film" and "Dieter - The Hits".

Bill Haley & His Comets were an American rock and roll band that was founded in 1952 and continued until Haley's death in 1981. The band, also known by the names Bill Haley and The Comets and Bill Haley's Comets (and variations thereof), was the earliest group of white musicians to bring rock and roll to the attention of white America and the rest of the world. From late 1954 to late 1956, the group placed nine singles in the Top 20, one of those a number one and three more in the Top Ten. Bandleader Bill Haley had previously been a country music performer; after recording a country and western-styled version of "Rocket 88", a rhythm and blues song, he changed musical direction to a new sound which came to be called rock and roll.

Among the many tributes paid to Bird’s memory was a tour by a sextet including musicians closely related to Parker. The leaders were Sonny Stitt, a saxophonist of enormous talent and brilliant technique, and trombonist J.J. Johnson, one of the fathers of bebop. Apart from their associations with Parker, all of the musicians on this sextet were well known stars in their own right, and it is refreshing to see more footage of rarely filmed jazzmen like Johnson, Stitt and Howard McGhee.

Daytona was a melodic rock band active throughout the 1990s, out of Switzerland. Trilogy collects all three Daytona studio albums - 1993's Best Of, 1996's Point of View and 1999's Who is Xooly? - in one 2-disc set. Trilogy also features a handful of bonus tracks in the form of demo, live and alternate versions, which ought to sweeten the deal for those who might already own the individual albums.

Tenor saxophonist Stan Getz found a perfect accompanist in pianist Kenny Barron, who would regularly play in his group for his last five years. This out-of-print Black Hawk LP finds the pair, along with bassist George Mraz and drummer Victor Lewis, performing two standards and four more recent pieces, including two ("Dreams" and "Voyage") by Barron. The music is difficult to classify (modern bop?) but relatively easy to understand; Getz never coasts.

The bright sound, recorded in a large public hall in Basel, Switzerland, is attractive and brings out small details in Plantier's performances.
