Gypsy swing, Latin grooves and beyond by a sensational acoustic quartet from the Åland Islands. WHATCLUB was formed in Winter 2006 by guitarist Richard Palmer, second guitarist Jochum Juslin and acoustic bassist Kjell Dahl. The group initially worked together as a trio, occasionally collaborating with other musicians such as cellist Svante Henryson, violin player Mikko-Ville Luolajan-Mikkola, clarinetist Antti Sarpila and singer Johanna Grüssner. In the spring of 2011, violin player Andreas Nyberg joined the group. Their music is a modernized style of ‘gypsy swing’ or ‘jazz manouche’, a European form of acoustic jazz music, first performed by the Quintette du Hot Club de France in Paris in the 1930s. Apart from traditional swing, the group explores various Latin rhythms such as bolero, rumba and bossa nova.

Between them, the young duo of Benny Green and Russell Malone has a world of experience, having played with such jazz masters as Ray Brown, Harry Connick Jr., Betty Carter, Diana Krall, and Branford Marsalis. This live date captures the terrific twosome delivering a tasty palette of blues, standards, and ballads. Malone's guitar lines are impressive and encyclopedic, ranging from Wes Montgomery's ringing double octaves to Joe Pass's tender timbres. Green's pianisms imbue everything he plays with a haze of blues. They both treat chestnuts like Cannonball Adderley's "Wabash," Billy Strayhorn's "Intimacy of the Blues," and John Coltrane's "Moment's Notice/Lazy Bird" with dazzling and deft improvisations. Here, in front of an appreciative audience, these musicians beautifully highlight the difference between just making a record and actually playing music…

House of Cards is a studio album by Saga, their fourteenth album of new material. Two of the songs, "Ashes To Ashes (Chapter 11)" and "We'll Meet Again (Chapter 15)," were part of a second series of eight songs that Saga included within some of their albums called "The Chapters," which told the story of a young Albert Einstein.
