Tsching Taschenhymnen (2017)

In the current program, Tsching is emerging from any stylistic drawers and devotes itself entirely to its own creative roots and influences. At the same time, the three musicians draw all the stops with a new instrumentation of the pieces. Instead of looking for the most beautiful sounds and inspiration all over the world, Tsching, with his "pocket anthems", recalls his very individual artistic background. The ensemble, with its exclusive compositions, senses the microcosm and musical dreams and experiences that have contributed to the development of the band since the beginning. All pieces are very personal, sometimes quite intimate images of mood, which make the path of the three musicians to sound. Franziska Kraft plays on a five-string bassoon specially designed for her. Multi-instrumentalist Helmut Mittermaier gives blues voices a wealth of sound colors. Guitarist Ben Aschenbach, with his virtuosic, accentuated and sensitive playing, forms the basis for harmony and groove. Whether you want to favor the term "jazz", "world music" or "neo-classical", Tsching always likes to leave his audience.
