Ей позволено надеть особое платье, сшитое руками пятнадцати девственниц специально для этого случая. В лесу Карин насилуют и убивают пастухи. Они забирают ее платье, в надежде продать, и приходят в дом Тере, где им дают пищу и крышу над головой.
