Впервые переведенное на русский язык пособие по чтению и письму японских иероглифов содержит группу из 881 основных знаков, принятых в качестве обязательного минимума в японских начальных школах, и 1850 общеупотребительных иероглифов, рекомендованных Министерством просвещения Японии для использования в средствах массовой информации. Для основных иероглифов приводится порядок их начертания, варианты наименования и наиболее часто встречающиеся значения наряду с примерами применения в сочетании с другими иероглифами. Для облегчения поиска нужного иероглифа в конце книги дается указатель всех входящих в него иероглифов в порядке, определяемом фонетической транскрипцией. Имеется также словарь слогов (в азбуках катакана и хирагана). Пособие предназначено для всех, изучающих японский язык.

Although the reading can be quite wordy and incoherent with occasional ramblings, its themes grip you throughout. It can be a tough read with many theories, names, places but in the end, its an interesting book that unviels a controversial theory.
