Living Eyes is the Bee Gees' sixteenth original album, released in 1981. The Bee Gees began to break away from the disco sound that was prominent on their work in the mid-late 1970s with this album. However the album was not a commercial success, perhaps due to them being so strongly associated with disco. It sold 750,000 copies worldwide (compared to 16 million copies of their previous studio album "Spirits Having Flown" in 1979), and while it did not sell well in either the UK (#73) or the US (#41), it reached #6 in Norway and #4 in Spain.

The Incredible String Band's swansong for Elektra in the US and their second for Island in the UK is arguably the finest folk-rock album ever made, and the only one to weave together all the disparate elements of their sound into one seamless, breathtaking whole.

Stand Up is the second album by Jethro Tull. Prior to this album, the band's original guitarist Mick Abrahams had left the band due to musical differences with Ian Anderson. Abrahams wanted to stay with the blues-rock sound of This Was, while Anderson wished to branch out into other musical forms.
Stand Up represents the first album project on which Anderson was in full control of the music and lyrics. The album also marks the first appearance of guitarist Martin Barre who appeared on every Jethro Tull album from this point on. The album goes in a different direction from Ian Anderson's earlier work, revealing influences from Celtic music, folk and classical music. The instrumental "Bourée" (one of Jethro Tull's better-known songs) is a re-working of "Bourrée in E minor" by J.S.Bach.
