Lawrence Rothman is a Los Angeles musician with tremendous talent and grand vision. Influenced by the music of Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, the writings of Sam Pink, and the art of Mike Kelly, his music and message are vastly compelling. For his forthcoming debut album, Lawrence worked with acclaimed producer Justin Raisen (Charli XCX, Sky Ferriera, Ariel Pink, etc) to create something electronic, which ambitiously morphed into a fully analog to tape album with a handful of the most prestigious musicians out there. Lawrence created a full scope, enormous record diving into the realm of self-discovery and acceptance. Lawrence appears as 9 "alters", similar to the Cindy Sherman of music.

Rhino introduces Deluxe Editions for Montrose. Each double-disc set includes a newly remastered version of the original album, plus a bonus disc of unreleased demos, studio recordings, and live performances. Montrose feature some of the band’s most enduring music, like “Rock Candy,” “Bad Motor Scooter” and “Space Station #5.” Those two albums would help shape and influence many of the hard rock bands that followed, including Van Halen and Iron Maiden.

Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine has announced plans for his much-anticipated second album, ‘I Tell A Fly’, Having recently collaborated with Damon Albarn for the latest Gorillaz album, Clementine’s debut album, ‘At Least For Now’, looked inwards and backwards, follow-up ‘I Tell A Fly’ looks forwards and outwards; to a changing world, ancient struggles, and the individual response. The results render 'I Tell A Fly' as compassionate and empathetic as it is angry, satirical, and critical.

Two years on from the critically acclaimed Top 20 success of ‘Cradle To The Grave’ (the band’s first set of new songs this century), ‘The Knowledge’ sees our heroes broaden their musical canvas, as evident on the opening ‘Innocence In Paradise’ with its pedal steel and cinematic atmosphere evoking images of the mythical western. This September, Rhino are to reissue a 25th anniversary, four-disc super deluxe edition of Stone Temple Pilots 1992 debut Core. The Grammy winning album has sold over 8 million copies in the US alone and amongst its 12-tracks are the singles Sex Type Thing, Plush and Wicked Garden. The super deluxe edition reissue is a 4CD set. It includes a newly remastered version of the original album, and a very impressive amount of unreleased material. In fact, across the three bonus CDs is more than two hours of unheard demos and unissued live performances, including the band’s performance on MTV Unplugged.

The Foreigner, the new action film for Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, arrives in theaters this weekend. The film is based on Stephen Leather’s novel of the same name and is a hybrid of sorts. In one instance, it is about a soldier who was traumatized but asked to gear up one more time. On the other, it is a political thriller about a soldier who has become a politician who is drumming up more trouble. The Foreigner stars the legendary Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan in this dramatic action feature.
