Jazz legend Miles Davis is captured performing in Montreal on this video. The man performs a half dozen songs including "One Phone Call", "Human Nature", "Something's on Your Mind", "Time After Time", "Code M.D.", and "Jean Pierre". The DVD release of the concert includes a biographical timeline of the artist's life.

The album was announced on Radiohead's website on 14 February 2011, five days before release. The name of the album possibly refers to an oak tree in Wiltshire's Savernake Forest, thought to be 1,000 years old. The tree is a pollarded oak, referring to an ancient technique for harvesting timber for fencing and firewood. Though it does not feature on maps, the tree is said to be 3 miles (4.8 km) from Tottenham Court House, where Radiohead recorded part of their previous album In Rainbows. On 18 February, Radiohead's official blog published the first song from the album, "Lotus Flower", with an accompanying music video, followed by a post announcing the album was released.

Change was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Individual Or Group. "Wigwam" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Solo. "Little Flamenco" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition.

The Thelonious Monk Quartet of 1964 (comprised of the pianist-composer, tenor saxophonist Charlie Rouse, bassist Larry Gales, and drummer Ben Riley) is well featured on this excellent set which is augmented by two "new" alternate takes ("April in Paris" and "Pannonica") plus a medley of "Just You, Just Me" and "Liza" that was out previously on a sampler.Easily recommended to Monk fans, this set is just further proof that he never made an unworthy recording.

OUiZZZ is an instrumental trio from Lausanne, Switzerland. The band issued of the School EJMA (Swiss school of Jazz) melts Jazz with Electronica, Hip-Hop, and Drum and Bass. The songs are a 6 handed composition and explore an elaborated and dynamic music. The project took place in 2003 and grown since now, they try to reach equilibrium between past and future, Jazz and Electronica, acoustic and plugged.

The collaborations between Sonny Rollins and any given trumpet player were few and far between, but they did include such notables as Miles Davis, Don Cherry, Clifford Brown, and in this case, his first tandem partnership with Kenny Dorham. At the time, both of them were also members of the Max Roach Quintet, and thus quite familiar with each other's strengths. Add drummer Art Blakey, bassist Percy Heath, and emerging modern jazz pianist Elmo Hope to the mix, making this one of the more potent combos of 1954. ~ AllMusic
