Here we go again - the ABBA phenomenon refuse to die. Welcome to what can only be described as the latest episode in a continuing success story, starring a group from Sweden whose brilliant music has captivated the world's pop fans for a amazing 25 years.

To fulfill a commission from the National Institute of Culture and Fine Arts of Venezuela for a work to be premiered by Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra at a 1966 festival in Caracas, Ginastera simply expanded much of his 1958 String Quartet No. 2 to get to his Concerto for Strings. He jettisoned the first of the quartet's five movements, shuffled the others, beefed up the instrumentation, and, in places, composed additional passages……

The Quatuor Parisii was founded in 1981 by four Paris Conservatoire students, who played Milhaud's String Quartet No 4 in 1984 and promised Milhaud's widow Madeleine then that they would record all eighteen. They went on to win many prestigious competitions, remained together and completed this project last year. The performances are as good as you could reasonably expect (a few moments show a little strain) and are well recorded…..

Seventh studio album by Brazilian singer Astrud Gilberto (Bahia, 1940). She revamped her repertoire of 11 songs with new creations not only Brazilian, but American and even Swedish items. Authors like Eumir Deodato, Marcos Valle and Luis Bonfa gave her five Latin issues, perhaps the best of the disc. Most other subjects are arranged by Don Sebesky.

German disco-rock fusion project by Austrian artist Kurt Hauenstein, founded in 1976 in Frankfurt. He scored a hit with 'Love Machine' from the "World of Today" LP. World of Today was the second album by Supermax. It was released in 1977 and included the track Love Machine, which charted in Germany (#4), Switzerland (peaked at #6), Austria (#9), and the U.S. (#96).

Death thrashers MindGrinder release their 3rd full-length . Prop Agenda was recorded and mixed in Akkerhaugen Lydstudio and the band’s very own Barnsville Studios, and mastered at Andy La Rocque’s Sonic Train Studios. The album consists of 9 tracks clocking in at around 44 minutes.

Scottish death/grind powerhouse MAN MUST DIE will will release its new album, "Peace Was Never An Option", on October 28 in Europe and one day later in North America via Lifeforce Records. The CD features a guest appearance by Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, ex-SEPULTURA) on one song.
