In Outer Space is the 12th album by the American rock band Sparks. In Outer Space became one of Sparks' most successful albums in the USA. It reached #88 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and built upon the success of the group's former two albums. In France, the non-album single "Modesty Plays" (originally conceived for the TV series Modesty Blaise) was added and included as the final track).

"High Standards" is a representation of three players in a recording studio, playing a live concert, for no one but themselves! Bassist Jeff Berlin, pianist/upright bassist Richard Drexler, and drummer Danny Gottlieb's long collaboration, have allowed them to create telepathic interplay, in an improvised setting. This is a piano trio at its best…led by one of the greatest electric bass players of our time.

…If you're unfamiliar with Feldman's nuanced, nondevelopmental music, this may not be the easiest point of entry, but . . . well, there probably isn't an easy point of entry after all, so why not just dive in?

Joe Lovano's recorded debut as a leader features the tenor in a quartet with pianist Ken Werner, bassist Dennis Irwin and drummer Mel Lewis. Together, they perform three originals apiece by the leader and Werner. None of the tunes are simple or based on the chords of standards, but although they did not catch on, the interplay by the musicians, the excellent pacing of tempos and moods, and the consistently satisfying solos make this a set worth searching for.

Walfad (We Are Looking for a Drummer) was created in 2011 by Wojciech Ciuraj (vocal, guitar). Although 2nd September 2011 is considered the date of their official start, the core of the band had been active since April that year. Maksym Frączek (lead guitar) and Radosław Sitek (bass guitar) were the first members of We Are Looking For A Drummer.
