Aerosmith's 1991 three-CD box set Pandora's Box has just about everything you could possibly want: hits, demos, rarities, live material, key album tracks, and a booklet packed with classic photos, a bio, and the bandmembers' remembrances of all the tracks. Since the set was released by Columbia, none of their material from the mid-'80s through the early-'90s is featured (Done With Mirrors, Permanent Vacation, and Pump). But the '70s was when this legendary band was at their most raw and rocking best, and Pandora's Box is a superb overview of the group's work from their first self-titled album up until 1982's Rock in a Hard Place. Also included is solo material from Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, as well as an early track from Steven Tyler when he fronted a band called Chain Reaction in the '60s.

Archive is a compilation album from British rock band The Sweet, released in UK in 1997 on the Rialto Records label, includes rare tracks.

For almost 40-years pianist/composer Anthony Geraci has played behind some of the most influential blues musicians of the 20th century. He is an original member of both Sugar Ray & the Bluetones and Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters, and has been recognized for his contributions on numerous albums by nominations from both the Blues Music Awards and the Grammys. 'Fifty Shades of Blue' showcases 13 of his original songs, backed by an all-star cast featuring the top blues musicians in the Boston area including Sugar Ray Norcia, Darrell Nulisch, Toni Lynn Washington, Michelle 'Evil Gal' Willson, Monster Mike Welch, Michael 'Mudcat' Ward, Marty Richards and Neil Gouvin.

The Süddeutsche Zeitung summed up this highly acclaimed performance of Bruckner's monumental Fifth Symphony by saying: “Both Bruckner’s belief in God, as it majestically wells up out of the chorale of the Fifth, and his deeply tragic world view, collide with one another in Barenboim’s interpretation”. The operatic experience of the conductor was almost tangible, revealing the “sheer dramatic instrumental battle between Bruckner’s God and the Devil – between heaven and hell – without betraying Bruckner’s unerring sense of striking proportions.” The release of this “contrapuntal masterpiece” (as Bruckner, not without pride, referred to this work) is part of Daniel Barenboim’s Bruckner cycle with the renowned Staatskapelle Berlin.

Abel Ganz is a band from Scotland that has been active since 1980. Most people know that former Pallas lead singer Alan Reed used to sing on their albums, however they never really got the attention which Pallas got in the media. Too bad, because all of their five previously released studio albums contain excellent progressive rock music. The same can be said about their 2014 release, which they simply titled Abel Ganz. The band's mix of several styles throughout the entire album, works very well on Abel Ganz. The sometimes folky, slightly jazzy and playful classic ingredients certainly enriches the progressive rock this band makes. Everything is done very tastefully and therefore the album has to be heard in one go.

Capella de la Torre is a German early music ensemble led by Katharina Bäuml, founded in 2005. In 2016 Katharina Bäuml and Capella de la Torre won the ECHO Klassik Ensemble des Jahres for their CD Water Music. In 2017 Capella de la Torre was awarded again with ECHO Klassik for the CD "Da Pacem" with Rias Kamerchor conducted by Florian Helgath. The ensemble is a wind ensemble, but has enlarged to include singers, lute, organ and percussion.

The Swiss pianis and music teacher, Véronique Gobet, grew up in a family where Arts are very important: her parents sing, her father Jean-François Pellaton, is a painter. She studied at Gymnase cantonal de Neuchâtel, Switzerland. After her graduation, she majored in mainly piano along with studying orchestration and conducting at the Conservatoire de Musique de Neuchâtel (diploma with mention “very good and jury's congratulations”). Later she continued her education at the Hochschule der Musik-Akademie Basel, in the class of Rolf Mäser, where she got a concert diploma. She also benefited the teaching of the following pianist Miguel Anguel Estrella, Aberto Neuman, Elisabeth Sombart, Brian Ganz.

After debuting with 1973's excellent but neglected Show Your Hand (later reissued as Put It Where You Want It), the Average White Band switched from MCA to Atlantic and hit big with this self-titled gem. Upon first hearing gutsy, Tower of Power-influenced funk like "Person to Person" and the instrumental "Pick Up the Pieces" (a number one R&B hit), many soul fans were shocked to learn that not only were the bandmembers white - they were whites from Scotland. Like Teena Marie five years later, AWB embraced soul and funk with so much conviction that it was clear this was anything but an "average" white band. This album is full of treasures that weren't big hits but should have been - including the addictive "You Got It," the ominous "There's Always Someone Waiting," and a gutsy remake of the Isley Brothers' "Work to Do."

In 2019, at the age of 22, Alexandre Kantorow became the first French pianist to win the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition. But already before then he had released three acclaimed discs, awarded distinctions such as Diapason d'or de l'Année and Gramophone's Editor's Choice and earning Kantorow descriptions ranging from 'Liszt reincarnated' to 'a firebreathing virtuoso with a poetic charm and innate stylistic mastery'. The present recital, his first release since the Tchaikovsky Competition, offers plenty of scope for virtuosity, poetry and charm, always filtered through an acute stylistic consciousness. The programme is constructed around three rhapsodies, a genre whose improvisatory character corresponds perfectly with the spirit of Romanticism but here interpreted by three highly distinct artistic temperaments: Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms and Béla Bartók.
