Just to Satisfy You was Jennings tenth release on RCA with Chet Atkins producing. The album contains the Top 5 hit duet "I Got You," which Jennings recorded with Anita Carter. The title track was written with Don Bowman in 1963. The same year, Jennings signed a recording contract with A&M records but his releases had little success, because the main releases of the label were folk music rather than country.

Best known as an innovative drummer who helped to define a particular hard bop, soul jazz and organ trio sound during the mid-1960s, Grady Tate was also an accomplished vocalist. His drum sound can be heard on the classic Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery albums recorded on the Verve label in the 1960s.

The first mandolin soloist to be nominated for a classical Grammy, Avi Avital is one of the foremost ambassadors for his instrument. “T for Texas / Yes, and it’s T for Timbuktu” – When Dead & Company took to the stage at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX on December 2, 2017, no one thought that the band was about to play its final show of the year. After all, there were three more dates on the tour itinerary, in New Orleans and Florida. It wasn’t until a few days after the Austin show that unforeseen circumstances would force those scheduled gigs to be postponed until the following February.

At the age of 26, Pittsburgh-born, New York-based Jazz musician Benny Benack III has been hailed by Nate Chinen of the New York Times as “a charismatic young trumpeter who maintains an earnest sideline as a singer". As a dual-threat, he’s quickly established himself as one of the most versatile and virtuosic voices of his generation. He first made his mark internationally through competitions, highlighted by winning the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Soloist Competition (2011), and being a Finalist for the prestigious Thelonius Monk International Jazz Competition (2014).

For a follow-up to his superb sophomore release Wolfgang, rising star vibraphonist/composer Warren Wolf finds himself alongside some of the biggest names in modern jazz for Convergence, his stellar third outing on Mack Avenue Records. Along with bassist Christian McBride, the all-world rhythm section is rounded out by master drummer Jeff “Tain” Watts and esteemed pianist Brad Mehldau. Renowned guitarist John Scofield is a featured soloist on two tracks.

The President of the European Commission is currently from the Grand Duchy with its only 115, 000 citizens and also has one of the most vital jazz scenes in Europe. The multi-instrumentalist Pol Belardi plays a major role in this and also attracts international attention to the amazingly creative biotope that has developed there in the triangle between Germany, France and Belgium over the past 15 years. Belardi is representative of his fellow countrymen without any musical blinkers and his curious interest in all styles and influences, with which he was more or less predestined to see beyond his own horizon.

The band’s highly-anticipated new record, Berkeley’s On Fire, was produced by Rich Costey (Muse, Death Cab For Cutie) and will be coming out on February 15 via Fueled By Ramen, ahead of their massive UK and European tour. “When we were writing these songs we were very conscious of our role in creating a space for people to escape from the nonstop negative media cycle,” co-frontman Cole Becker says regarding the record’s lyrical content. “It’s a strange time to be young; our generation knows the duality of feeling like an unstoppable force for change in one moment and a powerless wreck in the next. We wanted these songs to document that feeling that we’ve observed closely in ourselves and in the people we’ve shared our music with over the past three years.”

With his thirtieth birthday, and the ceremonial cap on three records and three EP's, Webb felt a sense of closure in the making of Triage. Methyl Ethel has always been a surrealist outfit - a dark and obscured expression of life set to the backdrop of dream pop hooks. But Triage is a more reflective album - one that explores the notion of coming of age, only to reference it for the snapshots and passing memories that it has become. The album was written, produced and performed by lead singer Jake Webb, recorded in Jake's home studio in West Perth and mixed at Mute Studio in London with Marta Salogni.

Less isn’t always more. In 2014, the Dutch-Zimbabwean artist Rina Mushonga released The Wild, the Wilderness, a pleasant but mild debut record that didn’t look much further than the coffeehouse for inspiration. But a recent move from Amsterdam to Peckham, a culturally diverse community in London’s South End, has unlatched something grand in Mushonga. Her sophomore album, In a Galaxy, is expansive, integrating sounds gathered from her native country and her newfound home in the UK. Thinking big suits Mushonga, and over the course of this 12-track LP, she dramatizes the banal trappings of daily life with her fortifying melodies, making a case for maximalist, ecstatic pop as a balm for it all.

The album, her fourth, was recorded with producerDave Cobbin Nashville's legendary RCA Studio A. Working with some of her closest collaborators, including Brendan Benson and Waylon Payne, and longtime friends Anderson East and Angaleena Presley, Monroe wrote all of the songs on Sparrow. She recorded the album while she was pregnant with her first child. "I felt powerful," she says. "I wasn't puffing, I wasn't drinking wine, I was just singing."
