Kate Rusby, often hailed as the 'First Lady of Folk', celebrates an amazing 30 years as a professional musician in 2022 with the release of a brand new album 30 : Many Happy Returns (Pure Records) on May 6. Anniversary album, 30 : Many Happy Returns, features a stellar array of guest musicians who have all inspired Kate during her career: Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Richard Hawley, Darlingside, KT Tunstall, Sarah Jarosz, Sam Kelly, Dan Tyminski, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Damien O'Kane and on the physical version of the album, a bonus track with the Royal Northern Sinfonia. The songs are newly recorded versions of favourites from across Kate's career.

Before playing a pivotal part in folk music’s cultural crossover in the ‘60s, Tanega was a curious little girl born at the very end of the ‘30s to a multicultural Navy family in Long Beach, California. Her parents often brought her to Los Angeles for piano lessons, and eventually Tanega earned an MFA at Claremont College, where she studied classical composers like Aaron Copeland and George Gershwin. Amidst her academic pursuits, Tanega learned to play acoustic guitar and autoharp by following Joan Baez records and hanging out at the Folk Music Center, a music store and performance space in Claremont that exists to this day.

Nevertheless, his keyboard works are slowly making their way into the concertizing repertoire and it is here that Friedrich Wilhelm Rust undoubtedly distinguishes himself with an innovative and wholly personal style.

Giovanni Battista Gervasio was a significant personality in the musical scene of 'stile galante' of the second half of 18th century; composer, virtuoso and teacher, he studied and improved the four-courses mandolin, which was first built in Naples in that period. Thanks to him this instrument became popular and technically refined as it is nowadays. The mandolinist Marco Giacintucci, after the production of the sonatas for solo mandolin (Tactus TC720702), faces the repertoire dedicated to the six duets for two mandolins published in Amsterdam in 1786, in this world premiere recording.
