Il Divo returned to the live arena for the first time in 2 years on August 2, 2011 to perform at the iconic home of the English National Opera, the London Coliseum. Accompanied by the world famous Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, this show marked a triumphant return for Il Divo, performing new material from their album Wicked Game as well many of their favourite, well known classics.

Akron’s native bluesmen, The Juke Hounds, released their album, “Low Man on the Totem Pole,” a rip-roaring collection of 10 loud and vibrant tracks. The disc captures all the energy of a large blues festival, and it’s impossible not to get up and start shaking along to the rhythm of each tune. The guys are obviously well versed in the catchy music they write and perform, and “Low Man on the Totem Pole” is an example of how to do blues right. With repetitive hooks and toe-tapping rhythms, the band is pure fun and are experts at their craft.

This DVD features a rare live 1965 London concert of the Bill Evans Trio. The concert was recorded as a single performance to be broadcast as two shows in the BBC Jazz On 625 television series, presented by Humphrey Lyttelton. The repertoire is a mixture of Evans originals, American songbook titles and modern material including the Newley-Bricusse Who Can I Turn To' and Miles Davis' beautiful Nardis - a tune he himself curiously never recorded.

…I have 5 complete sets of the Beethoven Violin Sonatas, and I have derived as much pleasure from Stern/Istomin as from any of the others. Indeed, I think it is more profound than the much heralded Dumay/Pires collaboration, and it doesn't give up much in sound quality to that one, either. As with Stern's second recording of the Beethoven Concerto with Barenboim, Stern had much new to say about this composer in the later stage of his career.
