Originally recorded live at the New Daisy Theater in Memphis, TN, this DVD combines some of Bobby "Blue" Blands' newer selections as well as several tried and true crowd pleases. Some of the featured songs include "St. James Infirmary", "Farther On Up the Road", "That's the Way Love Is", "I PIty the Fool" and "Soon As the Weather Breaks". A medley between Bland and guest stars Johnnie Taylor and Bobby Rush breathe new life into "Stormy Monday", rounding out this already worthy addition to any Bland fans collection.

Ton Steine Scherben was one of the first and most influential German language rock bands of the 1970s and early 1980s. Well known for the highly political and emotional lyrics of vocalist Rio Reiser, they became a musical mouthpiece of new left movements, such as the squatting movement, during that time in Germany and their hometown of West Berlin in particular. Today, after the band's demise in 1985, and the death of Rio Reiser in 1996, Ton Steine Scherben have remained a cult following and popularity in the related scenes. Recently, some of the remaining members have given reunion concerts under the name "Ton Steine Scherben Family".

Franz Schubert’s choral works have certainly never achieved the popularity or the impact of his late symphonies, of some of the piano and chamber works, or of his best-known songs. And yet his extensive choral oeuvre is no less important, and no less characteristic….

The music of Samuil Evgenievitch Feinberg is hypnotic in the extreme, most obviously close to Scriabin in mystical mode. All credit to BIS (who already are doing sterling work for the composer Nikos Skalkottas) for releasing this magnificent disc, with superbly detailed annotations by Christophe Sirodeau, one of the two pianists featured on the disc, and a composer himself. Both Sirodeau and Samaltanos contributed to the Skalkottas/Feinberg concerts held in Paris in 1999.
