Pulse (stylised as p·u·l·s·e) is a live double album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released through EMI Records on 29 May 1995 in the United Kingdom and by Columbia Records on 6 June 1995 in the United States. The album was recorded during the band's Division Bell Tour in 1994, specifically the UK and European leg, which ran from July to October 1994.

This set of six adventurous compositions by bassist Mark Dresser has some otherworldly sounds, some free improvising and plenty of spacey stretches. The latter is due to the flexible and chancetaking singing of Theo Bleckmann, who often functions as part of the ensembles and sticks to wordless improvising. The group also includes trumpeter Dave Douglas (who sometimes sounds traditional and in other spots is as adventurous as Bleckmann, pianist Denman Maroney and drummer Phil Haynes. The music is stimulating but sometimes disturbing, easier to respect than to love.

Dutch Composer and bassist Jay-Tee Teterissa draws from the jazz fusion tradition, while at the same time being fully aware of the current state of affairs in this music. His list of musical collaborators includes Mike Stern, Danny Gottlieb, David Garibaldi, Tony Royster Jr, Alain Caron, Jan Akkerman and Candy Dulfer. He brings his band Jazzm to create this, his second solo album.

This two-disc package from Emmanuel Pahud explores the music performed at the court of King Frederick the Great of Prussia. Frederick was an accomplished amateur flutist, and, thus, cultivated music for his instrument from the best composers of his day. This included Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, and Johann Joachim Quantz. Frederick himself and his sister Anna Amalia also composed works featuring the flute. Pahud chose selections by each of these composers, filling the first disc with concertos and the second with chamber pieces and solos. These pieces span the period between the Baroque and Classical eras, but in general even Frederick's and C.P.E. Bach's sonatas have more in common with the former than the latter. They still employ the basso continuo accompaniment, however, all of it is very charming and agreeable, as much of the music of that era is.]

After making his introduction as a sensitive, acoustic-styled songwriter on 2001's Room for Squares, John Mayer steadily widened his approach over the subsequent years, encompassing everything from blues-rock to adult contemporary in the process.
