All This and Heaven Too is the third album by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Andrew Gold. It was released in 1978 on Asylum Records. It includes the hit single "Thank You for Being a Friend" which peaked at #25 on the Billboard singles chart.

The critics were united in acknowledging the eponymously titled debut album from Flying Colors among the most fascinating releases of 2012. Flying Colors is the talent-ridden supergroup consisting of guitarist Steve Morse, drummer Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse, bass player Dave LaRue and the comparatively new talent, singer/songwriter Casey McPherson. The band challenged conventional wisdom about combining virtuoso music and melodic songwriting in their new album, "Second Nature".

There has generally been a fairly limited level of exposure for Brazil's Dragonheart. Truth be told, the author of this review was only made aware of them through their connection with Dragonforce as the reason for their change of name following their 2000 demo. One might have been tempted to infer a similarity in style between the British shred machine and this seemingly similar styled Brazilian outfit that came into existence a few years prior to the former, but apart from the similar name, any comparison would be extremely limited and peripheral in nature. Far from being a coked-up, keyboard and guitar solo happy answer to Helloween, Dragonheart winds up in an older mode of power metal that has more in common with the heavier, more speed metal informed approach of German acts such as Paragon and Mystic Prophecy, and also to an extent the harder edge yet somewhat more epic equivalents in Sweden in Hammerfall and The Storyteller…

Formed in 2001 as a side- project for Greer and Slamer (the two had played together in the early 1980s in Streets with Kansas's vocalist Steve Walsh), Seventh Key released an acclaimed self-titled debut but then went dormant again due to the member's previous commitments. The group resurfaced in 2004, with the compelling album, "The Raging Fire". A great melodic hard rock record – no more no less!

Here is a band who show that America can still match Europe in progressive rock. A neo-progressive rock in a British way but played by an American band which includes six musicians. The music is for the most part high quality and contains crystal clear guitar breaks with the occasional acoustic guitar taking over. The keys and piano are a pleasure to hear. Admittedly these muso's are good with dual keyboards, good sax interludes and tidy arrangements. Yet another band in the Neo-Prog mould which have been influenced by Marillion.

Your eyes should considerably lighten up when somebody casually mentions the name Be`lakor! These filigrane, sophisticated tunes of this Melbourne fivepiece definitely have the potential to enthrall masses wih this absolute fantastic output of Australian melodic death metal! The eight pillar songs Vessels is built upon definitely satiate your hunger for progressive structures and technical prowess, but at the same time these new compositions live for intense, passionate and deeply disquieting melodic death metal. Sense and sensibility from Down Under: Be'lakor's fourth full length album will drag this whole world down into its darkness!

"In These Woods, From These Mountains", the new album from Norway's THE WRETCHED END. The CD released on April 22 via Indie Recordings. It has been nearly four years since new sounds have emerged from the fiery studio alliance of former EMPEROR/ZYKLON guitarist Samoth, MINDGRINDER/WINDIR guitarist/vocalist Cosmo, and DARK FUNERAL drummer Nils "Dominator" Fjellstrom. Boasting a darker foundation than its predecessors, "In These Woods, From These Mountains" was recorded by the band themselves and mixed with producer Marius Strand in Norway. Mastered at Fascination Street in Sweden, it is without doubt the strongest and most varied of the extreme metal band's growing sonic portfolio.
