Powerhouse is a 1969 album by The Jazz Crusaders. It was their fourteenth album produced by Richard Bock for World Pacific Jazz Records. It was the first album in which Joe Sample played on the Fender Rhodes.

Since their first meeting in Glasgow in the early 1990s, singer Claire Martin and composer/pianist Richard Rodney Bennett have been what Martin calls 'firm friends', their relationship cemented by a common interest in the subtleties of songwriting and jazz singing. On this album, they perform as a (delightfully informal but consistently musicianly) duo, her intimate, deceptively unfussy vocal style perfectly complemented by his flawlessly eloquent piano. Dangerously in Love is the debut solo studio album by American singer Beyoncé. During the recording of Destiny's Child's third studio album Survivor (2001), the group announced that they would produce solo albums to be released. Recording sessions for the album took place from March 2002 to March 2003 at several studios, during the hiatus of her then-group Destiny's Child. The tracks in the album are a mixture of uptempo songs and ballads, which are basically inspired by R&B and soul genres; it also features elements of hip hop and Arabic music. Dangerously in Love reached international commercial success, earning multi-platinum certifications in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

These works from Mahler and Schoenbergare are expressionist and romantic monuments, but they are already at a turning point. The harmonic tension is taken to extremes, and dissonances are daring, although always justified by the expression. Pianist Beatrice Berrut has carried out the pharaonic work of transcription and paraphrase for piano of these four works originally conceived for symphony orchestra and string sextet.

The label début of the Exclusive Chandos Artist Laura van der Heijden explores the rich musical heritage of Bohemia.
