Although many bands feel pressure to record the follow-up to a successful debut, Bruce Hornsby is a seasoned musician who is comfortable in his own skin. For the most part, he and his band stick to the same formula that brought them success with The Way It Is. In other words, Scenes From the Southside is another strong set of piano-based pop with catchy melodies…

Though not as well-known as his songs and operettas, the chamber music of Reynaldo Hahn (1874–1947) nevertheless includes some of his finest scores. It is thus not to be overlooked within his oeuvre, nor should it be considered subsidiary to his contribution to the musical theater. The present recording of the chamber music oeuvre of Reynaldo Hahn by the Quatuor Tchalik and Dania Tchalik on the piano is a project that coincides with the major retrospective, both musical and iconographic, on the Venezuelan-born French composer organized by the Palazzetto Bru Zane in 2019.

Like many of us, Rosie Carney was forced to change her plans when the pandemic hit earlier this year. Instead of entering the studio for recording sessions, the folk artist retreated to her parent’s house in Ireland to be close to family and seek proper treatment for her mental health, which was suffering on account of the global crisis. But her musical brain never stopped turning.

"Together, Brötzmann and Lonberg-Holm have released two excellent prior duos … This latest CD, Memories of a Tunicate, may be the jewel in their crown. Credit is due to Lonberg-Holm's liberal use of electronics. Against Brötzmann's muscular saxophone, the cellist can bring a saturating wall of sound to parry that machine gun attack. MANSUR is the newly initiated project by Jason Kohnen (ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble) joined by Dimitry El-Demerdashi (ex-Phurpa) and introducing Martina Horváth on vocals. The sound of MANSUR navigates between the waters of musical fantasy and reality - it morphs and blends traditional instrumentation with modern day electronica.

Together Again is the second album from Moon Halo, the musical project of vocalist Marc Atkinson and keyboardist Iain Jennings. Marc’s warm and emotive vocals have graced many fine solo releases, along with guest appearance on albums by Lee Abraham, Drifting Sun, Mandalaband and John Holden, amongst others…

Francesco Fratini began studying the instrument at the age of 8 (trumpet). He studied with the teachers Salvatore Catania and Franco Vasselli, Giampaolo Casati, Pietro Tonolo, Stefano Zenni, Marco Tamburini, Claudio Corvini, Enrico Rava, Gianluigi Trovesi. In January 2009, still eighteen, he was called by Enrico Rava to join his ensemble, alongside Daniele Tittarelli, Gianluca Petrella, Giovanni Guidi, Gianluigi Trovesi, Dan Kinzelman and Stefano Senni.

Yes 50 Live was recorded on the US leg of their 50th anniversary tour with a majority of the album coming from two dates at The Fillmore in Philadelphia on July 20th and 21st 2018.

In October 2020, Brooklyn, NY based singer-songwriter Allegra Krieger drove across the country to record her new album, Precious Thing, with Luke Temple. Precious Thing captures fleeting moments in a world that has become sick from itself. From sharing a gaze with a man as the clock strikes 12 on New Year's on a Coney Island-bound train, to taking a loved one off of life support, to processing the religious trauma of wine, Krieger weaves together a portrait of a woman trying to find meaning.

"Revival" is an as-of-yet totally undiscovered electric jazz rock recording from 1977 composed by visual artist, activist and multi instrumentalist Herbert Bodzin. Bodzin, born in 1936, was a prominent figure in the local scene and initiator of the Jazzclub Hohenlimburg from 1957 to 1964. Hohenlimburg was where artists like Doldinger and the George Maycock Trio performed during the golden age of modern jazz and hard bop. On "Revival" you can expect straight, yet soulful fusion featuring deep downtempo and psychedelic flute breaks for the rare groove aficionado.
