Groovin' Hard is a collection of previously unreleased live recordings of the legendary jazz trio, The Three Sounds, led by groove-master pianist Gene Harris. Captured live at Seattle's Penthouse jazz club from 1964-1968, featuring longtime Three Sounds bassist Andy Simpkins and drummers Bill Dowdy, Kalil Madi and Carl Burnett, this set contains soulful originals and jazz standards such as 'Blue Genes' and 'The Shadow of Your Smile,' which was never released on any other Three Sounds album.

LUSIÓN Y VERDAD from Cuban guitarist Ahmed Dickinson Cárdenas and Maltese flutist Fiorella Camilleri is a vibrant collection of works for guitar and flute. The music incorporates not only the infectious Afro-Cuban rhythms for which Cárdenas is known, but also features elements of blues and rock, among others.
Works like Hasta Alicia Baila and Sones Y Flores are especially inspired by the diverse history of Cuban music and its relationship to jazz and western classical music. Throughout the album, Cárdenas and Camilleri exhibit their ability to transcend genre limitations with ease, creating new and fascinating cross-cultural musical connections. Stabat Mater (P.77) is a musical setting of the Stabat Mater sequence, composed by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi in 1736. Composed in the final weeks of Pergolesi's life, it is scored for soprano and alto soloists, violin I and II, viola and basso continuo (cello and organ).

He was born Mischa Fischberg in a Russian-Jewish village in the Ukraine. In those days after Jascha Heifetz's success, the appearance of violinistic talent in a son of a poor Jewish family was a highly prized event. Mischa received solid training as a boy and was sent to the St. Petersburg Conservatory.

The Philharmonic String Quartet Berlin presents works by Josef Suk and Antonín Dvořák with gripping precision and exciting colours. Although contrasting, the two pieces are still closely connected: Dvořák’s cheerful and dazzling String Quartet No. 13 composed during a period full of joy and carelessness, and the String Quartet No. 2 by Suk – Dvořák’s son-in-law, who premiered both of the recorded quartets himself – which was written after a deep crisis and depicts full, rich and heavy harmonies.

Jarosz premiered the piece at the 2017 FreshGrass Festival at Mass MoCa in North Adams, MA.
