This fall, trumpeter and composer Josef Leimberg will launch his debut full-length Astral Progressions. Hitting vinyl prints and digital formats with the Alpha Pup Records jazz imprint World Galaxy, Astral Progressions is a powerful record in the canon of 21st century music. It also continues the momentum Leimberg achieved on the Kendrick Lamar Grammy Award winning album To Pimp A Butterfly. A hybrid state of jazz fusion, world music, R&B and golden era hip hop instrumentalism. Josef Leimberg has created a rich tapestry of sound that fits right in with the resurgence of progressive music in the 2010’s, launching out on his own terms after an impressive career of guest work.

Phantom Navigator is the seventeenth album by jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter, that was released on Columbia in 1987.

The ten one-hour Dekalog films are set around the same modern Warsaw apartment building. Each film deals with a theme - love, marriage, infidelity, parenthood, guilt, faith, compassion - exploring the relevance of one of the Ten Commandments, showing how people deal with moral dilemma in their everyday lives. The soundtrack for nine of the ten Dekalog films marks the point where the creative relationship and friendship between Preisner and Kieslowski first flowered and contains the seeds of much of Preisner's later work. (Kieslowski and Preisner decided that Dekalog X would not require an original music score). The music was recorded by Zbigniew Malecki and Aleksander Dowsilas at Radiowy Dom Sztuki Studio, Katowice.

I am not sure what happended to this cd as far as marketing goes. It is very hard to find and most people have never heard of it. But don't let it fool you, this guy has talent and he is backed by the David & The Giants band. It is similar in sound to Giant, Richard Marx, Stan Bush Toto, Survivor, etc. If you like any of these bands you will love this.
