Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit will issue their new studio album The Nashville Sound on June 16 through Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers. “White Man’s World,” the fourth single from the forthcoming LP, has been shared in advance of the record’s release. The single is one of the original compositions Isbell wrote that’s among the 10 making up The Nashville Sound. The singer-songwriter again worked with acclaimed producer Dave Cobb and further incorporated in the recording process his The 400 Unit band mates, guitarist Sadler Vaden, drummer Chad Gamble, bassist Jimbo Hart, keyboardist Derry deBorja and Isbell’s wife, fiddler/vocalist Amanda Shires.

Swedish metallers MEAN STREAK, founded by bassist Peter Andersson in 2008, stand for traditional, classic heavy metal that, according to the biography on the band's website , comes “straight from the heart”, which is something that generally goes down extremely well, not just over here in Europe but also in Japan. Now, eight years later, MEAN STREAK's fourth studio album called Blind Faith will be on the shelves in Europe on June 2, in Japan on May 31 and in the USA on June 16. The ingredients of MEAN STREAK's latest opus are exactly what you expect from a band dedicated to “classic metal”: driving up-tempo beats, neck-breaking mid-tempo grooves, virtuoso guitar shredding, long drawn-out epic melodies and soaring vocals.

Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this self-titled album from the legendary Funk band. Platypus was among many Funk-based acts to emerge from Dayton, Ohio in the 1970s, along with the Ohio Players, Heatwave, Slave, and Lakeside. Their style was specifically influenced by progressive rock, earning compliments from Rick Wakeman of Yes. The group's fans in Japan defined their sound as "between rock and soul." Upon moving to Los Angeles in the mid-'70s, members of Platypus worked with Motown producer Hal Davis and contributed to sessions for Thelma Houston, The 5th Dimension, and Diana Ross. Platypus was mentored by Roberta Flack after she saw the group headline at The Bottom Line in Osaka, Japan.

This small group session was recorded in 1963 for Atlantic, and originally issued in 1976, two years after Duke Ellington's death. It showcases a small group that features string players in the front line. Ray Nance, the Duke's own violinist, is here as is the legendary Stephane Grappelli and violist Svend Asmussen.
