This record is a true masterpiece of neo progressive rock! The music is quite comparable to neo progressive bands like Arena, Pendragon, Jadis, IQ and Violet District. The lush, magic & ear candy melodic keyboards will easily make you stargaze.

Originally released 1969 on Verve this is a truly lost jewel, released for the first time on CD. Joe Beck, one of the most famous jazz guitar players, recorded this album with fellow Donald McDonald on drums and among guest musicians is Danny Whitten, guitar player of Crazy Horse before they worked together with Neil Young. On this album Beck, influenced by Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix, created a song-oriented psychedelic rock style with slightly jazz influences showing his remarkable guitar skills, including some fine Wah-Wah treatments. Really great stuff. CD comes with informative booklet.

With the help of Robert Papst of Dominoe Fame, Dan Lucas has delivered a collection of songs that even the most hardened aor freak couldnt resist. It's just one great track after another without giving you enough time to breathe and that to me is a good sign of a great record... If you havent heard of Dan Lucas before go grab this if you can (its a bit hard to find these days) its worth the money you'll have to pay for believe me!

The Three CDs in the set are something quite special, consisting of not only the much wanted 4th Album Sessions (Kleptomania), which includes both tracks used on the very last Mansun single, but also fan-voted b-sides and EP only tracks, while the final CD has a collection of Demos and Unreleased tracks hand plucked by lead singer Paul Draper.

Playing in the village’s lovely 16th century parish church – every pew filled − Han tackled a repertoire that was highly challenging. Sceptics might attribute that to the courage of youth, but Han was quick to show that he was no rookie to the concert stage.

While most musicians wind up pigeonholed into very strict stylistic trappings throughout their career, Tom Scott has f ound challenges and success playing all formats of jazz on his solo projects and as leader of the GRP All Star Big Band (in the early 90s). It was fun following his muse in the middle of the decade, as he ventured back to his straightahead roots on 1992's Born Again, then was back to the funk on this rousing jam session. Working with old and new friends like Grover Washington, Jr., Paul Jackson, Jr., Dave Witham, David Paich, Luis Conte, Eric Gale and Robben Ford, Scott mixes his own material with some contributions from the outside.

Gallicantus perform music surrounding the fascinating yet tragic story of Queen Mary Tudor’s ‘phantom pregnancy’. On 30th April 1555 the city of London celebrated the birth of a healthy male heir, but abruptly ceased the next day after the news was revealed to be nothing but rumour. There was to be no heir, with gossip and speculation surrounding the tale of Mary’s pregnancy from that day onwards. The music performed here resonates with the circumstances of the mid-1550s, including items composed outside of Mary’s reign; from the royal ceremonies in which Mary participated as queen, and music directly tied to the specific events of 1554-5.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra has long been renowned for the sound of its brass section. This CD features the symphony's brass in a selection of pieces that span almost 250 years, including some works originally written for brass and some transcriptions of works for keyboard, orchestra, or band. It's a diverse and appealing program that effectively shows off the players' virtuosity and should interest any fans of brass.
