    Baltimoore is a Swedish rock band, led by Swedish singer Björn Lodin. Lodin was originally approached by Elektra Records in 1987 to record a solo album, but Lodin opted to use the moniker Baltimoore rather than his own name. In 1992, Lodin relocated to Åland, Finland, where he met Bulgarian-born guitarist Nikolo Kotzev. They joined forces for two Baltimoore albums, Double Density and Thought for Food. Due to personal and musical differences, Kotzev left the band in 1994 to start his own project, Brazen Abbot.

    "From a Distance: The Event" is a live album by Cliff Richard, released in 1990 by EMI. The album was recorded in June 1989 at Richard's "The Event" concert, held at Wembley Stadium in London. The album peaked at number 3 in the UK albums chart and was certified double-platinum in the UK. Three singles were released from the album; "Silhouettes" (UK #10), "From a Distance" (UK #11) and "Saviour's Day", which was the 1990 UK Christmas number one.

    The Storm was an American supergroup rock band, formed in the Bay Area of San Francisco during the early 1990s. The band is best known for their first single, the power ballad "I've Got a Lot to Learn About Love", which peaked at #6 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band featured three of Journey's former members (two of whom were founding members) - Gregg Rolie (original lead vocalist and keyboardist of Journey) on keyboards and lead & backing vocals, Ross Valory on bass and background vocals, and Steve Smith on drums. Kevin Chalfant, who had a #12 rock chart hit in 1982 as lead vocalist with AOR band 707 , was the lead vocalist, and Josh Ramos (who cited Journey founder and guitarist Neal Schon as a major influence) was the lead guitarist. Ramos had previously replaced Journey guitarist Neal Schon in one of his other, non-Journey groups Hardline.

    Rover's Return is the fourth solo studio album from English musician John Waite, released in 1987. The album was Waite's last charting album on the American Billboard 200, where it peaked at #77. It lasted 12 weeks in the chart. A total of two singles were released from the album; "These Times Are Hard for Lovers" and "Don't Lose Any Sleep", the latter written by American songwriter Diane Warren. "These Times Are Hard for Lovers" peaked at #53 on the Billboard Hot 100, #6 on the Mainstream Rock chart and #77 in the UK, whilst "Don't Lose Any Sleep" peaked at #81 on the Billboard Hot 100.
